Really, I do. We buy good, high quality food, keep their dishes clean, give them fresh water every day, play with them, love them up, keep them indoors, and a myriad of other things.
However, they aren’t really worth leaving $82,000 too so they can be kept in style. I figure there are actual people or charities that could put that money to better use.
I bring this up because we see lot of different things when we are closing estates. Most people see their own families or a close friends bequests, in some cases they are just a relative that could do the job and don’t understand the details. They figure that anything strange that comes up has to be the weirdest thing ever, usually it’s because they don’t have any other reference point.
We’ve done dozens of these and it’s starting to become normal to see strange. And as more strange comes up, we’ve learned that everything is normal, it’s only a matter of perspective.
Don’t worry if you are feeling overwhelmed, confused, frustrated and just plain tired of trying to get your estate closed. Your strange is our normal, even if all the money is left to the cats.
